Window Double Glazing
Our windows right now are double glazed and I am glad that we have it because it will save us some energy during winter season. I first learned about double glazing when I was in UK and my cousin had their conservatory updated. We love lounging in their conservatory and watched the snow falling from the sky.
Passover Seder Dinner
During the lent season, our church hosted a Passover dinner. During that said dinner a Pastor read the significance of the Passover as well as doing the rituals. It was very long but very interesting story. They got all the 15 parts of the Passover in Hebrew as well as explaining the meaning of it. It was our first time to attend.

Of Becoming a Linguist
English is my second language and I speak some dialects also in my home country. When I got my married my husband wanted to learn my language. He is in the service and he thought having another language is an advantage because you can deal with other people who speak with my dialect wherever he will go. I told him I will teach him but we both slack in that department. Although we have many chances of learning but we always forget about it.

Fieldtrip to Lattin's Country Cider Mill
Our Pre-K student had their field trip at a cider mill on Wednesday. It was quite a drive going to the farm/mill but it was so worth it because our girls enjoyed it a lot. The students get to see different farm animals. They were toured around and fed the chicken, turkey, goats, and pigs. The were very excited feeding the goats from their hands. The faces of the 4 to 5 year old kids were really priceless. The highlight of the trip was the tractor ride. The tractor has an attached wagon made of barrel designed and painted to look like farm animals. I got to ride it too since I am petite and can fit inside. It was fun, entertaining, and educational for the kids and parents alike.

Hitting the Gym
In as much as I really wanted to shed off some pounds, this set up of driving to base every time I want to use the gym is a very tedious one. I will try to check out the fitness center in our area and compare prices. I don't want to pay much. If ever, I will just start or do running. The temperature is getting warmer. Running is very good so I may have to opt for it. I don't need to boost my muscles like those body builders, I just need to shed off baby fats and increase stamina. I have read a review about lg sciences methyl 1-d as a testosterone booster to build more muscles faster, and I know there products that have shady performance that is being banned, so most definitely I won't try it. As long as I lose weight and reached my pre-pregnancy weight, then I will be fine.
Reminiscing
I gave birth with only a friend beside me. After the delivery, they wheeled me to the mother and baby room which is a two patient unit. The good thing was I was the only one in the room. I can do whatever I want. I don't have anybody the whole time I was in the hospital and was left to take care of the baby at night or day time when I supposed to be resting. When I go to the bathroom I will bring the baby cart with me. There were two medical computer carts in the room where I also hold on to as I drag the baby cart to the bathroom. Then I locked the main door so I will not close bathroom door. I really wanted to go home the next day but I have to attend a discharge class before I can go home. I attended it the 2nd night I was in the hospital and fortunately, everything went well we were discharge the next day.
The first night at home from the hospital was very much okay. Although I was still sore, but I have to take care of our toddler and the newborn by myself. The night went by smoothly with God's grace. My friends came and brought us food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Then the second night hubby already arrived and I couldn't be more than happy seeing him. I told myself I can already get some good rest.
Wow, looking back I can't imagine I did all of it by myself. But I am very proud that I was able to. I believe that if you put your mind to it, and continue to pray and seek guidance, everything will go through smoothly. All the sacrifices and hardship is so worthy because I have now my beautiful girls. They are growing beautifully and very sweet.
I Wish I Have a Magic Sing

We are going have parties here in our neck of the woods for the coming days and I wish I have the magic sing so my guests can do karaoke. Videoke singing is the favorite past time of Filipinos anywhere in the world. Hubby thought of getting me one, but I told him to hold off because it is very expensive. A friend of mine will lend me on our DD1's birthday, so we shall see.
On the other note, I love this blue microphones in picture above. It looks like it is vintage but contemporary. Accordingly, this mic has a crystal-clear sound and really a high performance microphone, which can be used in any number of application like vocals, guitar, piano, drums, and etc. If I will have this one in the house, I bet my little girl will not let other people hold it but herself only.

Mowing the Yard
Hubby's house chores during spring and summer includes mowing the yard. This was the first time he mowed after the fall and winter. He mowed our yard this past Sunday after our DD2's birthday party. The grass still needs some growing. It looks patchy right now. I hated it but I don't want to replant. I just have to be patient and wait til the lawn fertilizer will work out.
Our backyard looks very empty. We started making flower beds. We had two already but no plant yet. I cannot decide what to plant. I am looking at planting shrubs that will bear fruit or just plain one, or flowers on the side near the fence. Sometimes I wish the DIY Yard Crasher will crash our backyard and give us the backyard of our dreams, lol. By this, I will not worry of what to do and just live it to them. These are all but a dream coz I haven't heard of them coming in this side of the country. I usually heard them in California and mostly in the east coast.
Anyways, we have a long time living here and hopefully in the years to come we can have a nice backyard with plants already. Whoever have an idea of easy to care fruit bearing shrubs is welcome to leave here in the comment area. Thanks in advance!

Watering the Grass
Tomorrow is our DD2's birthday and we will have a small party for her. We already invited some friends and hubby thought of renting a bounce house. I thought the grass in the backyard will now grow nicely but it is still not enough green for us to cut it and it will look nice. I think we have to wait until next month to see the result and we can enjoy it. Last night it rained and enough to wet the grass so I cannot water it today. Then hopefully, since it is very sunny today, it the land will be dry so the kids will not be muddy tomorrow while playing at the back. I am excited for the party of our little one tomorrow.

I Upgraded My PS Digicam
For years I have been thinking of upgrading my point-and-shoot camera. I cannot decide on what to get. There are many factors to consider, aside from the cost, the style, the features, the user-friendly one, etc and etc. Then a blogger friend of mine that I met here online who owns the blog RareD Rare Shots told me about this Samsung WB750 camera. She owns one and have high praises of this point-and-shoot camera. I got excited and hubby bought one for me.
Now, I am very excited to try it. It arrived this afternoon. I am still learning the features and I am happy to use it on our daughter's birthday on Saturday. It may not be the DSLR that I want, but I know his will take great pictures for memories.

Scotts® Snap® Spreader System Your Gardening Buddy
This post brought to you by Scotts®. All opinions are 100% mine.
Spring has come and it is that time of the year where beautifying our front and back yard is a must so the kids can enjoy the outdoors. Having a green lawn is very pleasing to the eyes. I am wishing that I can sit and relax in our porch and enjoy my flowers on summer as well as having a very green lawn. This past fall and winter our grass was damaged. We had heavy snow and it is always raining, even until now. If you can see our backyard in the photo below, the grass are still looking brownish. My husband fertilized it this past weekend by manually spreading the fertilizer on the ground. Yeah, seriously he can't decide what spreader to use. I hope I had known early the Scotts® Snap® Spreader System, it would have been very easy. But I know it is not yet late, I can still get and try this system and use it over the years.

This Scotts ® Snap® Spreader System will leave no mess when being used. Just connect directly the Snap Pact to the spreader without cutting or opening or pouring. So this really saves your fertilizer as it will not spill. The EdgeGuard feature keeps the product in and it does auto-set the proper flow rate, thus no waste. How efficient that can be, eh? Below is a testimonial of how great this product and I can't wait to have one.
Check out Scotts ® Snap® Spreader System and like Snap perks on Facebook. You can get some surprises from their contests and be in the first to know of their promotions. If you love working in your garden, this is a must see and do!

Garmin Watch
Hubby recently bought the Garmin Forerunner 610 Touchscreen GPS watch with heart rate monitor from Amazon and it arrived last night. He had been eying to buy this garmin watch and thought of getting the 410 model but instead upgraded to 610 for more bells and whistles. He is loving it and this gadget is really nice. He just showed me how he can download the data from the watch to the computer and see the graph of his pace, the map of his route and others. It is really cool. I told him it better be good since it is kinda expensive. He just started using it this morning when he run for his PT. He like the accuracy of it and the touchscreen is very cool too. It can be used as an everyday watch since it is not bulky. He is still learning and discovering some of its features. He bought this watch because he love to run. He will be running again for a marathon in May and it can really help him to determine his pace while he is training for it. He is excited for having this watch and I am happy that he got it.
On another note, I see more and more of my friends that are into running and some even join marathons. I've been thinking even before to make it a habit to run and maybe one day I can run marathon too. I get envious of their accomplishments. I think if there's a will, there's a way. I only need to start and become motivated. Who knows I will be joining my husband in the future to run for marathon :-)

Home Freshness Courtesy of Glade® Expressions™
This post brought to you by Triad Retail Media. All opinions are 100% mine.
I love a house that smells good. My husband is so anal about organization and cleanliness in the house, and he is the one who loves buying fresheners for our home that we put in the living room, bedrooms, and especially the bathrooms. Most often, we use Glade® products to make our home smell good. I love it when my friends come inside our house and they complimented me of the wonderful smell. Right now I am hooked with the new Glade® Expressions™ fragrance mist. The smell is very subtle and not overpowering. It also has the long-lasting fragrance so you won't spray often. I love that they have new container now. Very sleek and designed to compliment any home decor. As you can see the picture below. The fragrance mist is refillable with any Glade® Expressions™ scent . This way you can save since you only need to buy the refill and not the whole kit.

When it comes to our bathroom, I used the new Glade® Expressions™ oil diffuser that blends well with my theme and creates a zen-like effect. A fresh and smelling good bathroom makes me relax and it is my refuge too when I like to have a me-time. The oil diffuser fragrance lasts 30 days and doesn't require electricity, which I like. I love the lavender and juniper berry scent the most. If it has lavender, I am sold out. But if you want to try Glade® Expressions™, you can also choose other scents. In fact, there is a coupon for $1.50 off of any Glade® Expressions™ that can be used at Walmart to take advantage of their everyday low price.
Glade® made sure that customers will be satisfied with their products. And so if you are not satisfied with this new Glade® Expressions™, you can fill out this form and you will surely get a money-back guarantee. Try this Glade® Expressions™ now and enjoy the freshness it can bring to your home!

Skating on Post
One of the many family recreation on post where hubby is assigned is their sports facilities. On Wednesdays, skating fee is only a $1/person or child. You can skates as long as you like until 3:30pm. Last Wednesday, I and some of my friends went there. It was really fun. I did not skate but had our DD1 on a roller skates and DD2 on a walker. I have a hard time holding both kids since it was our older daughter's first time to skates.I can sense that she was getting frustrated that she cannot balance. I ended up holding her the whole time and put the little one on a stroller. I also let her hold on to the stroller while we both pushed it around the arena. I think she had a great time. Hopefully next time hubby can be there to watch the little one so I can totally give her my attention and hold her while she practices.
After skating, we transferred to the adjacent building for bowling. The kids energy was not depleted from skating since they were the ones who bowled the whole time. We were just the spectators. DD1 had a good sense of how to play bowling. She said she like to play again next time and asked me if she can have a smaller bowling ball to use :-) Maybe this Wednesday we can go back there again if my schedule permits.
