A Walk with Daddy

The picture above was taken one afternoon when we went out to buy some stuff at the store. When hubby came home from work I told him that we need diapers and some toiletries. So we headed out to Walmart. As usual our DD don't want us to carry her because in her little mind she can already walk. Daddy walk her out to the car and it is quite a long walk for a little one. She is very excited and stops every time she see something on the ground that makes the short walk longer :-)

Bringing Home Your Work

Are you one of those people that bring your office work at home? Well, for me there is nothing wrong with it but I think you need to leave it to in the office so when you are at home you can have time for your family. This is what me and my husband discussed lately. He has been bringing his work laptop at home because he said he had a lot of paperwork that needs to get done. Above are some shots we took while we roam along the port of Seattle. It was a nice day and there were many people sightseeing also. You can get a good view of the ocean and the skyscrapers too. Home Buyer Seminar

Hubby attended a first time home buyer seminar on post after work yesterday. He was asking me if I am going with him but I passed because the time of the seminar is 6pm to 10pm. It is time for our DD to be fed and then go to bed. I don't want her to get all cranky in there and it will just lost my concentration of the seminar. So only hubby went there and he will go back again tomorrow since it is a two day seminar. This is one of our preparations in our quest to get our own place one day. He said there are lots of information he learned and still he needs to know more so he will go back there tomorrow.

I remember now the Cris Angel show on tv Mindfreak which hubby really love to watch. When we got here in WA he wasn't able to watch it coz he thought it ended already. Then when he got back from Iraq I told him that it is on now. So there Wednesdays he watches it after Dog the Bounty Hunter. I can't watch my show once he is on it glad we have another telly where I can also watch my favorite show. I wish I can watch his show live. Small Storage Area

We have a small storage area in our patio and right now it is really very full. Hubby brought with him 2 big plastic boxes from Iraq where he put his gears. I am glad because the boxes were seated near our dining table before we have a hard time going around the table. Our lost bag...

is now here. Yes after two weeks out lost baggage is finally delivered to us through Fed Ex this morning. We have been waiting for it and it took so long for it to get here. If hubby did not call them and keep track on it I bet it will not be here at this time. Below is the infamous bag :-)

Wrestling Fan

My husband is a big fan of wrestling. I can't get him off the telly every Monday because that is when RAW is on. He told me that he has been a fan ever since he can remember. I like wrestling too when I was in high school and college that was the time I started watching it. When she came to our lives I watched it with hubby only when our little girl is asleep. I can't afford to let her watch a show so violent in her young eyes and loud. Now while typing this hubby is in the living room watching it. Our DD is already asleep so I am able to do some tasks as well as watch Olympics coverage.

Busy Hubby

I got so much to thank for my husband because even if he is very busy he still has the time to do house chores. I know I should be the one to do it since I am only staying at home but he don't mind specially if I am busy with our DD and also doing something here with the computer. I am glad that he don't complain and he is very helpful. Now that it is weekend he is bringing work at home because he has to redo their database of soldiers in their brigade. He asked me to help him proof read and that is what we did earlier this evening before we went out to eat. I am glad though that they are off on Monday at least he has time to rest before going back to work again.

Goodbye Analog

As I mentioned in my other blog that next year analog television will not work anymore. We have three televisions right now but the other two are analog. It's either we have to get a converter or get a new tv to replace it. Hubby is considering of buying a plasma television but still we have to think if it is a wise move. I know eventually we have to decide on it. We still have couple of months to prepare in getting one and I hope by that time we already decided or got a new tv.

Back to Work

Hubby got back to work on Monday after a long month of block leave. He told me that he don't like going back to work :-) I don't blame him. Coming from a long vacation makes it really hard for you to go back to work. You can wish that you will be in vacation for life. I felt the same way if I am in his shoes but he needs to go to work to provide for our family. While we were talking earlier he said that this week is so dragging he can't wait to be weekend again.

Yesterday at their job there was a ceremony in honor of his First Sergeant who died in Florida while doing skydiving. He said it was a very sad moment because they just got back from Iraq for 15 years deployment and on their block leave/vacation this tragedy happened to him. Hubby told me that he is a very good guy and they all saddened by his demise.

Almost

We had a very funny experience while we were at San Francisco. When we got to the bay area we went right away to where the port is. We were along Embarcadero and we saw parking space on the side. We parked and hubby paid for the meter. We don't have enough coins so we only had 1 hour and 45 minutes to park. We got out of the car and went for a walk along the piers. We were already at the Sur La Table, a big building market, and I asked hubby if pier 39 is near. When we realized it is still far we decided to just walk and see the area. Then our Shiloh became cranky, she was hungry already. So we went back to our car.

While we were near the parking I saw a towing truck towing a car behind our truck and saw the police. I told hubby that maybe it is not allowed to park there. The cars behind us were parked there the same time that we did. We hurried and then when we got there I immediately hopped in the truck and then hubby asked the guy, owner of the towing services, he said that it is not allowed to park there at those times. We saw the sign but ignored it when there were cars being parked there.

Good thing that we came and we thanked our Shiloh because if she wasn't hungry we will still be walking around and our truck will be towed already. The car behind us was almost done and they will tow ours after it. I thanked God that we were spared.

Of Becoming Financially Fit

I have been trying to save more this past months because I sensed that as we move forward this year it seems like everything is going up as well. Saving is very hard because as everything went up the salary or income is not; still the same and sometimes less because the hours of work are cut. Sun Bathing

No he said he don't need it :-) This is only for picture purposes. My husband said he likes wading in the beach but he is afraid to bring our little one in the deeper part. According to him just thinking about what could happen, like drowning or sweep by the waves, give him a scare. So we just sat on the sand and enjoy watching the beautiful ocean and the people playing in the water.

Air Force Museum

Above are some of the pictures we have while checking out the Air Force Museum in Travis AFB, California. They display the different type of war planes and military aircraft dated from years back. They also showcased missiles as well as the bomb they used during World War II. I am amazed by how technology evolved and now I was able to hop on the modern day military aircraft which for sure will be displayed in museum in the future. That time I can tell my grandchildren that I was able to fly with it.

Update on Lost Baggage

I have written in my Happy Life about the lost baggage that we have when we were on our way from Hawaii to California. Somehow our bag went to Guam instead of going with us to California. According to the Guam terminal they already sent it out to Hickam. Hubby called this morning and they said they have it already and ready to be sent out to Travis AFB in California. From there it will be sent through Fed Ex here in our residence. I really hope we will get it this week because all the clothes there needs to be washed :-)
