Busy Busy Busy

Yeah I just had the chance to update here now because I got busy with preparing our stuff for moving. Finally, our things were already packed by the movers sent by the Army. Last night we finished sorting and cleaning the stuffs that will be packed and segregate it by rooms. The clothes that we're not bringing we just left it hanging in the closet as well as all the linens and clothes in the cabinet.

This morning the packers came in at 8am and they got done packing around 12:45pm. They're quick. They did all the packing and emptying of the closets and drawers. All the kitchen wares were carefully wrapped. Everything were tagged accordingly with labels if it goes to which room. The electronics stuff i.e. computer, DVD, printer, stereo, tv are also packed and tagged as High-Value Inventory. They put seals on the boxes to ensure security.

The whole thing is really neat because you don't have to do anything. You just sit down and kinda supervise making sure everything goes in. Hubby made sure to throw away all our trash or else they'll pack it too :-). While they're busy packing hubby ordered pizza and chicken wings for all of us to grub out.

Tomorrow the shipping truck will come by to load everything for transport. I am so glad that everything is good to go now. Also my car will be shipped and it will be picked up as well tomorrow. After everything is out of the apartment we will start cleaning. We hired professional carpet cleaner to do the carpet so there'll be no kickback on that. What's left to clean are the bath tubs, toilet, blinds and shower stall. Hubby will take care of it and I will just do some dusting :-)

Our date of travel will be on the 22nd. Starting tomorrow we will stay in a hotel of course paid by the Army because all our things will be shipped already. We will be staying on the post's billeting if there is a vacant family room. If none we will have to check in the hotel off post. I can't wait to get to our next duty station so we can settle ourselves and relax again.
